Water Cop Twin Probe Flood Sensor

Every homeowner will benefit from the protection and peace of mind provided by the WaterCop Water Shut Off System.

Property damage caused by aging and faulty plumbing can cost a homeowners thousands of dollars each year. Many valuables are difficult or impossible to replace, such as; artwork, antiques, computer data, photographs, and other heirlooms, and are destroyed by a water leak or flood.

Water leakage and damage is the most common insurance claim. Every year nearly 2,000,000 homes experience severe damage due to common plumbing problems. Insurance helps ease the burden of repairs but really can't replace your valuable property nor alleviate the hassles and anguish associated with a devastating flood loss.

Water Cop Flood Sensor Description :

The WaterCop Flood twin probe sensors feature a robust 418MHz radio transmitter chipset with up to a 200 foot operating range, user adjustable digital security codes, and operate on either two (2) AA batteries or an optional AC power adapter (WCACA). Low battery warning chirp. Sensors are equipped with two (2) sensor probes, each with a 6 foot sensor cord. When leaking water comes in contact with either sensing probe the Water Sensor sends a radio signal to the WaterCop Water Shut-Off “on duty” telling it to shut off the main water supply. Each WaterCop Water Shut-Off can support an unlimited number of WaterCop Flood sensors.

Power Source: 2 AA Batteries (Not Included) or AC Power Adapter (Not Included

How does WaterCop work?
The WaterCop System consists of two key parts:

  1. WaterCop electric valve
  2. WaterCop sensor network

The WaterCop electric valve should be installed on your main water line immediately after the existing manual shut-off valve or immediately prior to where the plumbing main begins to branch to "water appliances". When the valve closes, it protects everything downstream from possible flooding. The WaterCop water detection sensors( WH100 and WH200) are battery (AC optional) operated flood sensor with wireless transmitters. Because they are wireless, you will not need to string sensor wires back to the WaterCop valve. Strategically place sensors in areas that you would like to continuously monitor for flooding.

WaterCop temperature sensors (WCFH100) protect against burst pipes; and a Water Control Wall Switch (RS100) gives everyone in your home a quick and convenient way to control the water supply. Together, these components work to protect your home against future losses and possible loss of insurance.

Where to place your water detection sensors:

Keeping in mind the most common causes of water damage and flooding, the following is a list of ideal locations to place your water detection sensors:

  • Washing Machine
  • Water Heater
